Lal Bahadur Shastri Degree College Holds Induction Programme for New B.Ed. Students

Gonda: An induction and introductory programme for newly admitted B.Ed. students of the 2026–28 session was organised by the Department of Education at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Degree College, Gonda, on Friday.

The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest and Acting Principal Professor Jitendra Singh by lighting the ceremonial lamp and offering flowers to Goddess Saraswati. The newly admitted student-teachers were introduced during the event, while B.Ed. second-year, third-semester students organised a welcome programme for the new batch.

Addressing the students, Professor Jitendra Singh extended his best wishes and emphasised the importance of discipline and regularity in achieving their academic and professional goals. He said the students were preparing to become teachers and would shoulder an important responsibility towards society.

“A teacher is a builder of the future society,” he said, stressing that the responsibilities of teachers are particularly sensitive and require commitment, integrity and a strong sense of duty.

Professor Sandeep Kumar Srivastava, Head of the B.Ed. Department and Dean of the Faculty of Education at Maa Pateshwari University, encouraged the students to remain composed and make the most of their time by acquiring knowledge and developing their professional skills.

The programme was conducted by Kishan Kumar Mishra.

Faculty members Dr Neeraj Yadav, Dr Lohans Kumar Kalyani, Dr Chaman Kaur, Rajendra Mishra, Pratibha Singh, Dr Deepa Gupta and Amarjeet Verma attended the programme along with a large number of student-teachers, including Prakhar Jain, Abhitosh, Khushi Yadav, Akshay Tripathi, Vipin Maurya, Aastha Tiwari, Vaidehi, Priya Arya and Archana Bhaskar.
